Ulcers

Ulceration whether it be venous ulceration or gastric ulceration of chronic saws that develop internally or externally and may take a prolonged period of time to heal. Health conditions such as osteoarthritis, obesity, paralysis, and diabetes may predispose to ulceration. Gastric ulceration commonly known as a stomach ulcer may be associated with indigestion, heartburn, and ulcerative colitis.

  • Discoloration or darkening of the skin around the ulcer
  • Aching and swelling of the legs
  • Enlarged varicose veins
  • Discharge from the sore
  • Vomiting blood
  • Passing dark stool
  • Sharp pains in the stomach
