Glutathione is your body’s major antioxidant system.  Glutathione is considered to be the most important antioxidant produced by the body because of the many ways that this powerful chemical works to keep you healthy and even prevents ageing.

Testing your glutathione levels is a great way to make sure that your body is making enough glutathione.  The Glutathione GSH & GSSG home test is a great way to make sure your body is producing enough glutathione and that it isn’t being broken down too fast which are the two most important factors.

Low glutahione levels can cause the following problems…

  • An increase in oxidative stress on the body (aging and disease)
  • Weakens the immune system
  • Possible imbalances in homocysteine levels
  • Accumulation of toxins including heavy metals
  • Inability to properly repair DNA
  • Leads to disease states
  • Reduced ability to properly detoxify

Symptoms of glutathione deficiency

The symptoms of glutathione deficiency can be hard to detect, this is because glutathione does so many different jobs at a very deep level.  Because glutathione is a major antioxidant and reduced ability to produce glutathione causes oxadative stress, the whole body can develop problems and this leads to many hundreds of different symptoms.  The human body is made up of cells and these cells all need to be protected by glutathione to remain in a healthy state, when glutathione is deficient this directly reduces the health of the body at a cellular level and can even cause cell deaths, too many of these “cell deaths” means disease and serious risks to your health.

The Glutathione Test

The Glutathione GSH & GSSG home test can be done right near your home or office.  The test covers the amount of glutathione reduced (GSH) & gluathione oxidised (GSSG).  Testing for glutathione imbalances is really important due to it’s ability to prevent many serious health problems, the test includes:

  • An authorized blood specimen order form that you take to your local accredited pathology for collection of your blood (Find a pathology near you here).
  • A blood specimen test kit for the pathology to use to collect your blood sample
  • Complete instructions for taking the test for you and the pathology
  • Note, pathology should not charge you to take your sample as this is included in the test kit

Test results are sent to one of our professional health practitioners within 5 business days for evaluation.  Our practitioners contact you with the results and recommendations on any findings via email, mail or phone.
