Constipation

Constipation is an inability to pass stool regularly or completely empty the bowel. Fecal matter may be hard or lumpy. The severity may vary from person to person. Constipation is caused by a variety of contributing factors such as insufficient fiber in the diet, side effects of medications, or inadequate fluids.
