High Cholesterol

Elevated cholesterol or hypercholesterolemia is a condition of excessively high levels of lipids in the blood. Cholesterol is predominantly in the form of LDL and HDL carried in the blood by lipoproteins. Contributing factors associated with hypercholesterolemia may include smoking, diabetes, high blood pressure, or heart disease.
