Enlarged Prostate

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is common in the aging man and is associated with prostate enlargement, prostatitis or
inflammation of the prostate, or prostate cancer. The prostate gland surrounds the urethra which ordinarily produces a thick
white fluid mixed with sperm to create semen.

Associated Symptoms

  • Difficulty starting or stopping urination
  • Weak ow of urine
  • Straining when urinating, a feeling of not being able to fully empty the bladder
  • Urine dribbling after finished
  • Increased frequency of urination
  • Waking to urinate during the night
