Diabetes is an inflammatory condition caused by elevated blood sugar levels and the inability to produce enough insulin. There are two types of diabetes: type I diabetes where the body’s immune system attacks and destroys cells that produce insulin, and type II diabetes where the body doesn’t produce enough insulin.
