The Cortisol Test

The Adrenocortex hormone profile is a non-invasive saliva test that serves as a reliable marker of stress response and a critical tool for revealing adrenal imbalances. Lifestyle, physical and psychological stresses put constant demands on the adrenal glands. If they become depleted adrenal fatigue or insufficiency may be experienced.

Each person has two adrenal glands both located on top of each of the body’s two kidneys. These glands are important to the body’s endocrine (hormonal) system. Adrenal fatigue is a very common condition in today’s society through the physical and physiological demands we put on our adrenal glands. Each gland is composed of two distinct zones, the large outer cortex and the inner medulla.
Salivary cortisol testing is the most accurate and powerful non-invasive salivary hormone test that evaluates bioactive levels of the body’s important stress hormone cortisol. This hormone test (stress test) serves as a critical tool for uncovering biochemical imbalances underlying anxiety, depression, chronic fatigue syndrome, obesity, dysglycemia, and a host of other clinical conditions that may affect our day to day lives. This hormone test examines 4 saliva samples over a 12-hour period for levels of cortisol 8am, 12pm, 4pm, and 8pm. The cortisol profile is particularly useful for patients with fatigue.

Adrenal fatigue is a very common condition in today’s society through the physical and physiological demands we put on our adrenal glands and or the levels of stress we experience.

The Cortisol Test

The cortisol test is salivary test that can be done right from you home or office.  The test includes:

• The cortisol test kit
• The cortisol test kit full instructions
• Express post overnight return delivery to laboratory
• Test results are sent to one of our professional health practitioners within 5 business days for evaluation.  Our practitioners contact you with the results and recommendations on any findings via email, mail or phone so you’ll know exactly what you need to do if the results come back positive.

For Australian Orders we provide an express postage reply-paid envelope with the Cortisol Test Kit for you to send your test sample directly to our pathology laboratory in Australia.

For Overseas Orders please allow up to 10 days for your Cortisol Test Kit to be delivered. Please also note return postage to our testing laboratory in Australia is not included. We suggest you use your country’s air postage service instead of international couriers to avoid excess postage fees.
