Allergies & Intolerances

NOTE:  This test is ONLY AVAILABLE TO AUSTRALIAN RESIDENTS.

The IgE moulds panel is an allergy test which evaluates serum IgE levels specific to common moulds. This is an ideal allergy test for patients with suspected environmental issues.

The allergic IgE response is comprised of not only an immediate event but in many cases a late event as well.  The early phase reaction usually occurs within 15 minutes of exposure to the allergen. The late phase reaction may then occur 4-6 hours later and persist for days with increased inflammation.

It is recommended that IgE allergy testing is only performed for infants greater than 18 months of age.

Do you have allergies to inhalants?

The IgG inhalants allergy test is a simple test that you can do at your home or office.  The test includes testing for 16 common airborne allergens by checking each allergen against your body’s IgG antibodies.

How The Allergy Test Works

The IgG inhalant allergy test offers a useful tool for detecting the inhalants causing delayed allergic responses to inhalants. The IgG inhalants allergy test is measuring the IgG antibodies primarily found circulating in all bodily fluids, this test is ideal for airborne allergy reactions that don’t occur immediately.   IgG antibodies are very important in fighting bacterial and viral infections. IgG antibodies are the only type of antibody that can cross the placenta in a pregnant woman to help protect her baby (fetus).  This test allows you to identify possible allergens as per the allergen list below.

The IgG test will not identify acute immediate food allergies, that occur about or immediately after exposure to the food allergens such as within a few minutes to a few hours, if you have immediate reactions see the IgE inhalants test instead.

It is recommended that IgG inhalant allergy testing is only performed for infants greater than 18 months of age.
